Among them, Spain saw the most significant rise, with its renewable energy consumption reaching the EU average by 2010. Poland’s usage surpassed the average level in both years, climbing slightly from 5% to 6% during the given period. In contrast, Greece consistently had the lowest figures, with its sustainable energy consumption growing modestly to 2% in 2010.

However, the remaining three countries experienced a different pattern in their consumption of renewable energy. Although the energy consumption in Slovakia dropped significantly to 7.8% in 2010, it topped the list in both years. The figure in Austria also decreased, falling remarkably to 5.1% in 2010, slightly above the EU average for the same year. Meanwhile, France maintained stable usage at 6.1% across both years.
