1. banish /'bænɪʃ/
v. 放逐;驱逐;流放
搭配:banish…from/to…
e.g. He was banished from the court.
e.g. He was banished to an uninhabited island for a year.
e.g. The dictator banished anyone who opposed him.
补充:dictator 独裁者;专政者
v.打消某种念头
e.g. We banished all our doubts and fears.
e.g. He has now banished all thoughts of resignation.
2. -mongering
suffix: 贩卖者;推销者
e.g. fish monger 鱼贩子
e.g. The gang leader was shaking with rage when being called a fish monger.
也可以指贩卖;传播各种负面情绪;行为的人
warmonger 战争贩子
fearmonger 散布恐惧心理者
Hatemonger 煽动仇恨者
rumor monger 造谣者
e.g. He's just like any other fear monger and tells as many people as possible about his interpretation of it.
e.g. The warmonger would sometimes posture for peace.

3. obligate /'ɒblɪgeɪt/
v. 迫使; 使某人有责任;义务做某事
e.g. The contract obligates the firm to complete the work in six weeks.
e.g. His confession obligated his wife to be reconciled with him.

Be reconciled with 使和解;使和好
常用 (be) obligated:有义务;责任做某事
e.g. You are legally obligated to repay the loan.
e.g. In some culture, a guest is not obligated to bring a present.
n. obligation 义务;责任
e.g. The landlord is under an obligation to repair the house.
e.g. They send back money because of their strong sense of obligation to their family.
4. unanimous /juː'nænɪməs/
adj. 投票、决定、协议等全体同意的
搭配:be unanimous on/about 一致同意某事
e.g. British voters are unanimous on this issue.
e.g. The decision would require the unanimous approval of all governments.
e.g. We expected complete agreement but opinion is far from unanimous.
补充:be far from unanimous 不一致
