好,那么首先我们来看一个例子——

If your friend is having trouble falling asleep before the big events, like exams, what advice will you offer him/her? Please give specific reasons and details to support your idea.

如果你的朋友在重要事件之前睡不着,你给他/她的建议是什么?

 

思路拓展  relax and wind down

 

1. Meditation(冥想)

- Achieve inner calm(找到内心的平静)

- Achieve a sense of tranquility and peace(tranquility是宁静的意思)

- Meditation helps lower the heart rate and encouraging slower breathing(冥想能降低心率 从而达到减压的作用)

 

2. Listen to music, especially light music(听音乐,尤其是舒缓音乐)

- Soothe your mind and body(soothe是使平静的意思)

- Release tension(减缓紧张感)

- Immersing yourself in the music and takes your mind off of the stress (专注在音乐中,转移注意力)

 

3. Do a little bit reading(热爱学习的你可以看一会儿书)

immersing yourself into another world takes your mind off of the stress in your life (专注在音乐中,转移注意力)

 

4. Take a bath(泡个澡)

- Soaking in a tub can rinse away tension

- Clear your mind(摒除杂念)

 

5. Play some (quite) games(打一局)

- Create a nice distraction from the stress of the day(转移注意力)

- Forget what’s troubling you (忘记烦恼)

 

将上述答题思路展开成文字,具体是这样:

 

If my friend is having difficulty sleeping before the important events, I would provide two suggestions for her/him.

 

For starters, he/she should try to listen to some music before bed, especially some light music, because it will help soothe your mind and body. When my friend is totally immersed herself/himself into music, it would be easier for her/him to fall asleep.

 

Besides, he/she can meditate for several minutes before hitting the sack. According to some scientific researches, meditation can help achieve a sense of tranquility and peace, plus, it also helps lower the heart rate and encouraging slower breathing, thus, increasing the prospect of a quality night’s sleep.

If my friend is stressed out due to his work, I would recommend him to do two things to release pressure.

思路分析:

Insomnia/have trouble falling asleep before exams(失眠)

Play games (just pick one)

 

There most difficult challenge I am facing as a college student is insomnia. I find it difficult falling asleep before the important events, like before exams. In order to solve this problem, I usually do two things before I hit the sack.

Firstly, I like to listen to some light music before bed, because … (此处省略,睡前听听音乐放松了紧绷的神经呀)

Secondly, doing a little bit meditation is helpful too, to be more precise, (此处省略,寻找内心的平静~)

Reasons:

- 减压的方式Listen to music will soothe your mind and body/immersing yourself in the music and takes your mind off of the stress

- 对比 lecture is always boring/学习已经很累了

 

2. Choose to watch a play

- 减压的方式/immersing yourself into another world takes your mind off of the stress in your life

- 对比 lecture is always boring/学习已经很累了

Personally speaking, I would choose to listen to a concert given by professional musicians.

 

To start with, listening to music is my thing, I find it is the best way to release pressure, I mean, as a college student, I am burdened by a lot of work every day. By listening to music, I can totally immerse myself in the music so that it will take my mind off of the stress, as a consequence, I can forget what is troubling me in real life.

 

Moreover, watching a play or going to a lecture sounds boring, especially going to a lecture. I mean, I am a student who is already facing so much pressure, so the last thing I would do is to add more burden by attending the academic lectures.
