平面地图

地图写作原则：拿之后比照之前，找异同。

The pair of maps illustrate the change of an island after its development. Overall, 岛的变化大小：there has been tremendous change.

At present, the island is no longer vacant with only some woods. 暗示了这个岛过往的情况。写作技法：引入一个visitor：Now, a visitor lands at the pier, on the south shore, and drives on the vehicle track, going north, for around 200 meters to reach the reception, which is the center of all the facilities.

On the west side of the reception lie several guest houses, interlinked via a footpath that is connected to the vehicle track circling the reception. 继续使用这个visitor的视角/路线：If the visitor goes further on the footpath leading to the far west end of the island, he or she will see a beach that is developed for swimming.

Roughly 200 meters north of the reception house, there is the restaurant, accessible by the extension of the vehicle track. There is another housing zone on the east side of and detached from the reception, and those houses are interconnected via a footpath.

The plans below show the South Wing of Walton Museum in 2008 and in 2012 after it was redeveloped.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The pair of plans illustrate the change of the South Wing of Walton Museum between 2008 and 2012. Overall, the building was developed into a multi-level and larger structure, and therefore became more complex and multifunctional.

写作技法：引入一个visitor：In 2012, a visitor could still use the path to enter the building and however would step in an entrance hall. 暗示了原来没有entrance hall】The special exhibition room on the lower level remained, and there was a terrace, as an addition, on top of the entrance hall. 继续使用这个visitor的视角/路线：

The visitor stepped deeper into the building and would see not only the reception but also a cloaks room. 暗示了原来没有cloaks room】On the basement level, the shop remained where it had been, and 继续使用这个visitor的视角/路线：the visitor could find an upper level,  暗示了原来没有upper level】where there was a restaurant.

继续使用这个visitor的视角/路线：With the visitor going further, there would no longer be the stairs but a lift, connecting the four floors – the original two and additional two. The reading room stayed on the ground floor, and the children’s play area, on the lower level, had been the cloaks room. 继续使用这个visitor的视角/路线：The lift would take the visitor to the self-service room and up to the exhibition room. In addition, it is noteworthy that there was a pyramid-shaped top as another new feature.
