【Introduction】

The table shows the total value of fish imports to the US in 1997, 2002 and 2007, and the pies illustrate a breakdown of the sources of imports in the same three years. Overall, the three years are vastly different in the two respects. ←如果不写conclusion,但是必须有对图表信息的总述。

 

【Body】

First, the total worth of fish imported to the US was at a higher level in 2007, when it was 10.4 billion US dollars, than in 2002 (8.5 billion) and 1997 (7.4 billion). Second, also in the value of fish imports, the three years are studied in terms of three major source countries. Some people prefer famous brands of clothing, cars and other items.

What are the reasons?

Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages? / Do you think this is a positive or negative trend? 

 

Behind consumers’ preference for products of big names are two major factors. This preference, contrary to what many people may think it is, is advantageous.

 

The first reason is that [经济状况的提升是一个“无聊”的理由,不够实际] people’s choice is made upon the common conception that those labels represent good quality. [然后细化labels和good quality,可以简单举例] For example, apparels of a famous brand are believed to have good designs, and home appliances and electronics are deemed reliable and durable. Meanwhile, since almost every renowned brand is not inexpensive, they display the owners’ economic status. Financially capable individuals may choose such brands to manifest how superior they are.

This phenomenon happens as people’s financial conditions have improved. It is only when people have more disposable income that they opt for the expensive products rather than the cheap alternatives.[注意信息的“缓急”:点用两句话很快速的把事情说明了,叫“急”,注意要“顺势而为”:信息本身简单的时候,不要硬生生慢慢说,不如两句话就说干净] This phenomenon is pleasant also because it improves production. [接着细化improve] When businesses are aware of that famous brands sell better, they obviously, for the sake of profits, have every reason to upgrade themselves. They optimize the designs and manufacturing. At the same time, taking advantage of the businesses’ seeking approval, consumers are benefited. [注意信息的“缓急”:第二点的个句子,故意先模糊地说成improves production, 然后再用好几个句子慢慢说明,叫“缓”,同样注意要“顺势而为”:信息本身复杂的时候,不要硬生生说太快,不如多用几个句子说清楚]

 

At this point, the reasons why famous brands are preferable are crystal clear. This inclination, not as it is commonly considered, is a favorable trend.
